Halloechens alle zusammen, da ich heute den letzten Tag in der Uni bin bevor ich nach Deutschland fliege, moechte ich die Gelegenheit nutzen Euch allen ein schoenes Weihnachtsfest, sowie einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr zu wuenschen. Geniesst die Tage mit Euren Familien und Freunden, gutem Essen und leckerem Wein. Und nicht zu vergessen - die Geschenke natuerlich. Ich hoffe ihr habt Eure Einkaeufe schon erledigt, ansonsten don't panic es sind noch 8 Tage bis zum grossen Fest.
Ich war auf jeden Fall schon fleissig shoppen, so dass ich beim Check-in bestimmt wieder mein charmantestes Laecheln aufsetzen muss, um das Uebergepaeck durch zu bekommen.
Gepackt wird allerdings erst am Montag, denn uebers WE fahre ich nach Helensvale (Goldcoast)Judy und Mark Bennett besuchen. Einige werden sich sicherlich aus Erzaehlungen von frueheren Australientrips an sie erinnern. Mark war 1998 als Austauschschueler in Deutschland, wir haben uns an der Bushaltestelle (!) kennengelernt. Seitdem haben wir uns des Oefteren gegenseitig besucht, wobei ich Australien and especially Brisbane verfallen bin. Also, wenn Euch das naechste Mal jemand an der Bushaltestelle anquatscht, seid freundlich und hilfsbereit, vielleicht landet Ihr spaeter einmal am anderen Ende der Welt.
Anderes Thema: Wir hatten gestern X-Mas party unseres Centres. Lecker Pizza, lecker Nibbles und lecker Drinks! (im uebrigen alles sponsored vom Chef). Wir haben auch "secret santa" in Form eines "lucky dip" gemacht, dass heisst jeder kauft ein Geschenk fuer ca. $5, legt es in die Kiste und dann zieht jeder ein (anderes) Paket heraus. Warum habe ich "anderes" extra dazugeschrieben? Nun gut, ich hatte ja gedacht, ich bin hier von gebildeten Leuten umgeben, aber dem scheint nicht so. Es gab doch tatsaechlich zwei Leute, die ihr eigenes Paket wiedergenommen haben! Ich habe eine Packung Toffee Whirles bekommen, die ich gleich daheim in die grosse Schokoladenecke abgegeben habe (ich esse doch keine Schokolade, und habe mir inzwischen sogar das Nutellaessen abgewoehnt). Nach der Party hiess es aufraeumen, aufraeumen, aufraeumen. Und nur um Euch einen Eindruck der riesigen Mengen an Pizza zu vermitteln, die vertilgt wurden, kommt hier ein Photo:
